This wine is 50% syrah and 50% merlot. The nose is big with black fruits and hints of fennel and anise. On the palate it is a little thin with a very short finish. It has a nice acidity that attacks the palate in a pleasant way. Flavors of black cherries, blackberries and brambleberries hit you right up front. A nice 87 point effort for only $5 !!! Watch more.

Hi Greg, My name is Jessica Payne and I'm a Professor of Psychology/Neuroscience at the University of Notre Dame. I found your blog because I searched "Sainte-Croix Languedoc Trader Joe's" trying to find information on this delicious wine! I'm glad you liked it as much as I did.
I bought a case a few months ago when I lived in Boston but it's running low. I'm eager to get more - hopefully in Chicago.
Thanks for your tasting notes and video!
